Helpful Resources - 2019-20 Season Checklist
It’s almost that time to update your club’s profile for next season! Below is a checklist with all of the information you will need to review for the 2019-20 season which runs from July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2020.
  • Board Members: Report the results of any election of officers and/or directors online through Members Only to U.S. Figure Skating Headquarters within 10 days of the election. This is accessible through the Club Management tab. All club officers must be registered home club members.
  • Club SafeSport Compliance Chair: Designate a member of your club as the SafeSport compliance chair. This person must complete the background check and SafeSport Training.
  • Bylaws: All club bylaws must be uploaded via Members Only under the Club Profile section. Please upload your most up-to-date set of bylaws and remember that if a grievance is filed, the bylaws uploaded are those that will be used. In addition, we ask that you add information about your tax status as well as your D&O coverage, if applicable.
  • Principal Skating Headquarters: Clubs must verify and update their Principal Skating Headquarters every season by July 7. To do so, the club president must log in to Members Only and verify the address under the Addresses/Rinks tab of the Club Profile. This will ensure an insurance certificate is generated for the club. Don’t complete this step until after June 1 for the next season.
  • Club Dues: The annual dues of full member clubs, both active and inactive, will be for the current fiscal year of July 1 through June 30 and based on the total number of persons registered by such clubs during the preceding fiscal year. Member Club dues are due and payable by August 31. We will send an email in mid-July with instructions on how to pay through Members Only.
  • Coaches and Instructors: Coaches must complete the coach requirements by July 1 to be compliant for the 2019-20 season.
  • Members Not in Good Standing: As we head into the renewal season, be sure to let us know of any members who need to be flagged as “not in good standing.” This can be done at any time during the year by emailing us this this form.
  • Membership Statement/Agreement: Make sure you add language in your membership renewals so your members not only understand the SafeSport Program and its policies, but agree to abide by all codes of conduct. Resources and training sign up are available here.
  • Archived Members: Beginning June 1, all members shown on the current roster will be moved into the Renew Members area, and ALL registrations processed from June 1 going forward will be for the 2019-20 membership year. Any registrations that require processing for the balance of the 2017-18 seasons must be handled through headquarters with a credit card or e-check via phone (719) 635-5200 or by emailing memberservices@usfigureskating.org.
Engagement-Membership Categories
2019-20 membership fees will remain the same as last season. Don’t forget to utilize all categories! The introductory membership is a cost-effective opportunity for Learn to Skate USA members to try out the full club membership at a discounted rate.

Note that early registration for the 2019-20 season begins on June 1 with memberships beginning on July 1.  Email memberservices@usfigureskating.org if you have any problems or questions renewing members.

SafeSport Program - The Code
U.S. Figure Skating’s SafeSport policies and definitions are derived from the U.S. Center for SafeSport Code, an evolving document by which each national governing body must abide. It outlines the jurisdiction of the U.S. Center for SafeSport, the jurisdiction of U.S. Figure Skating, the definitions of misconduct, guidelines for reporting and other topics.

The code applies to U.S. Figure Skating members, staff members and any other person within U.S. Figure Skating’s governance as outlined in our policies. The document was updated on April 15, 2019, and can be found on U.S. Figure Skating’s SafeSport page at www.safesport.org under their policies and procedures.

As athlete well-being and safety remain a priority, we encourage all members to familiarize themselves with the SafeSport Code.
